Spring into clarity this month with Humble Mind

Moving from knowledge → knowing:
Embracing your Inner Intelligence

Hey there Reader

TS Eliot once wrote that 'April is the cruellest month'

But I think that April could be the clearest month.

With the year now firmly underway, we've shaken off the shackles of the previous year and fully warmed up to everything the next 9 months has to offer.

As spring breathes new life, it invites us to see the future more clearly: to step beyond the fog of ambiguity and into something sharper, more refined.

At the same time, April’s clarity is not given: it must be earned. And with so many external narratives about the future (AI, economic disruption, shifting social norms) it’s easy to feel lost and alone in the unceasing noise.

The real work isn’t about keeping pace with these changes, but to cultivate our inner intelligence to allow us to meet them with clarity and capability.

In the fourth part of our Humble Mind Way series, we look at how to meet the future with the 5 forms of Inner Intelligence, and explore how to develop and apply this deeper form of knowing.

Read the full piece here. I'd love your feedback on the reflections.

Forget about SMART goals: Make PACTs instead

Last week's podcast with Anne-Laure Le Cunff was full of hugely powerful and applicable wisdom on how to live a more intentional life, embracing play and curiosity and shifting to a learning and experiment-led mindset.

From her new book Tiny Experiments, we explored how to set better goals.

So ditch your latest SMART goals, and instead, make PACTs (Purposeful Actionable Continuous Trackable).

The trick is to see it as a hypothesis to test, rather than an outcome to expect. The only commitment is to the process itself.

Watch the clip from our conversation to learn how to make a PACT.

The full episode drops on the Humble Mind Podcast next week!

Come into full spring bloom with Humble Mind this April

Join us this Thursday 3rd April at 3pm CET / 9am ET with Pascal to explore how to become irreplaceable in the AI age.

Entrepreneur, author and fellow community builder Pascal Bornet from the Irreplaceable Academy will help us clearly navigate the challenges and opportunities of AI-driven transformation through his framework for change, the Three Competencies of the Future.

Since meeting Pascal last year, I was impressed by his level of no-nonsense knowledge on the topic, as well as the depth of his human-centric sensibilities for the future. Suffice to say I'm very excited about this Mind Class.

Make sure you join us with your questions and curiosity!

Gather your rosebuds this May Gather ye rose-buds while ye may,Old Time is still a-flying;And this same flower that smiles todayTomorrow will be dying. We often interpret 'seize the day' as a vague encouragement to be bold, to take risks and live fully. But what if it’s more precise than that? What if it's actually a reminder to get on with what you're here to do? To seize the day is a serious invitation (if you want it to be). In a modern world overflowing with busyness, noise and the...

Building communities is a core human technology of the future Did you ever notice that when things get uncertain, human beings instinctively draw closer together? It’s how we've survived every famine, war or any other period of upheaval. The impulse for belonging, connection and mutual aid is baked deep into our biology. Community is not a luxury but rather infrastructure. Now, more than ever, it’s a critical technology we must actively build and protect. Technology, at its simplest, is any...

How tiny experiments make us more playful (and more likely to succeed) Hey Reader It's a pity that we've forgotten how to play. As adults, we’ve been conditioned to equate progress with a certain type of visible, explicit productivity. It's a luxury that can only be tolerated if it guarantees concrete outcomes. If the meter ain't running, it's not creating value. At the same time, more research and behavioural psychology evidence is coming to an opposing conclusion: without play, we stop...
